Irish Genealogy 303 with Tom Toohey Tuesday August 19 7PM

Tom Toohey is back for a third time to present a workshop on Irish Genealogy 303. The program will offer an illustrated description of six more ways to research one’s family. People do not need to have attended Toohey’s Irish Genealogy 101 or 202 programs to participate in the latest offering.

Tom Toohey’s parents were great storytellers. When they passed away he published their stories in a two-volume book entitled Images of Other Lives. In the 1990’s Tom began to study genealogy in a more serious way. He became interested in learning about the lives of his grandfathers who came from Ireland.

Let Tom help get you started down this fascinating road of discovery.

Seed Saving Talk Thursday August 21 6:30PM

Seed Saving talk brought to you by Mass. Master Gardeners Association and the Friends of the Townsend Library.

Our speaker, Gretel Anspatch, is the immediate past president of the Massachusetts Master Gardeners Association and a software engineer who works for a major electronics company and resides in hudson. She has also volunteered sporadically for the New England Wildflower Society as an adult's and children's guide. She considers her horticultural interests to be eclectic, which is to say she knows a little about a lot and not much about anything. Gretel is a member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Board of Trustees.
